Some humor to liven things up :)

You know you fish too much when ...

You're apartment should say Plano on the door because it's like a giant tackle box

You forgot how many rods you own

Getting scent on your hands isn't a bad thing any more

Scent actually starts to smell good instead of bad

You're at work and your hand smell kind of fishy

You check the weather report 16 times a day

Your screensaver is a bunch of fishing pics

You are never quite unpacked from the last trip

You have the raccoon eye sunburn 12 months a year

A pair of waders doesn't last more than a year

Monday means it's only 4 more days until the weekend

You buy gas for the truck every 3 days

You have a boat problem every 3 months

You have a fishing related vanity plate

Your wife has a fishing related vanity plate (JUST KIDDING)

You can tell the difference between a 4/0 and a 5/0 hook just by looking at it

You have a lucky bullet sinker ... and a lucky shirt, hat, jacket, pair of shoes, penny, swimbait, rod, and anything else you bring with you

You close your eyes and see fish swimming

Who's next!

You know you fish too much when.....

It takes you five hours to get to sleep because you can't stop thinking of how many big bass your gonna catch tomorrow

You dose off and tune into your live underwater moving camera of your local lake in your mind right in the middle of class or work

your Pastor mentions fishing in your wedding ceremony.

You call your garage your "fishing room".

You fish harder than you work.

You're looking at a swimsuit calender and wonder if the lake in the background has fish.

You find hooks in your carpet.

You find fishing line in your vaccuum.

Your boat is in the garage while your truck sits in the drive way.

You won't work in the rain, but you'll fish in it.

Every week you lay out every swimbait you own and stare at them.

You know you fish too much when...

When your thumbs are raw year round.

When you hear words like osprey, and eagle and associate them with trout plugs rather than birds.

When phrases like lipless vibrater and rubber have no sexual conotation what-so-ever.

When you drive by any body of water and think to yourself, "Are there fish in there...and would they eat a topwater right now?"

When you hear the word jig and you automaticly think Bass lure rather than Irish dance.

When someone asks you, "What's your faveorite color?" and you reply, "Watermelon red."

When you look at the contor of hillsides and ask yourself where the fish would be if that place was underwater.

When you wonder if there are bass in the water that surrounds Tom Sawyer's island in Disneyland...

You'd rather fish than watch the Superbowl, World Series, or any other sports program on the tube...

The full moon only has fishing implications to you and nothing more...

You know more about the bass pros than you do your own relatives...

Your dream car is not a car, but it's a boat instead and the only vehicle you want is one that can pull the boat....

You have holes in your hands from hooks...

You've never used a set of plyers for anything except fishing...

You don't like to stand in lines, but you can stand on a boat or a bank and fish all day long, without uttering a word, going to the bathroom, or eating...

This is when you know ....

http://www.calfishing.com/images/rob/swmbait.jpg

I know a few other guys have vanity plates. SWAMPY, RPALIP68, 316LURE, etc. You can check them at:

https://vrir.dmv.ca.gov/ipp/PerLicensePlateServlet

I love the ones you guys have been posting.
Favorite color is watermelon red, that cracked me up.

Tom Sawyers Island ... ROFLMAO! I saw a video when I was a kid where people were pulling trout of of that lake at Disneyland like crazy :) They must have stocked it back then. I bet you anything there are bass in there. There's another pond over by Thunder Mountain where they have these fake fish that jump at a regular interval. Must have been a fisherman designing that place. Oh man, I got it bad :9

A few more.

Your boat trailer has the same amount of miles as your truck.

You refer to your rods as "part of the family"

You get way more than your moneys worth from an annual pass.

You tell people your weekend sucked because you only fished for half of it.

You have Calfishing set as your home page.

You think the stock market is where trout come from.

You have a tab at the local tackle shop.

The only thing you use your computer for is to check fishing reports.

You've ever prayed for the fishing to get better.

This thread is too much, sad but all so true.

Like finding hooks in the carpet.. so far without having to dig them out of my toes.

How about...having a girlfriend say " you love fishing more than me" and you really don't disagree with her. An EX girl friend now :+

You have a stringer of Rago soft baits hanging up on your wall.

http://www.calfishing.com/dc/user_files/2289.jpg

You can recall details about fish you catch but have trouble with names, anniversaries, and birthdays etc.

You know the size of the lake record bass at the lakes you frequent most, just in case ( could apply to swimbait post also).

Your teachers in college ask how you did fishing over the weekend.

You go to your favorite lake and you can follow your own footsteps around in the mud from yesterday.

You wake up in the middle of the night in cold sweat, thinking that you might have stored your Huddleston 0-ROF crooked.

Two seconds into the company meeting, you start thinking of better ways to put that trailer hook on your 10" Stocker.

You read on Calfishing that Swimbait says use round bend hooks for Senkos and CJ says use EWGs, and for the rest of the day you are confused and cannot work.

You think that a Calcutta TE is a good gift for your girlfriend because it is at least gold in color.

When you take out your trash, you pick up the small trash cans around the house like you're lipping a bass. Sometimes you hold it up in the air and say "that's a good 'un!"

The pliers in your tool box all have worm guts on end of them.

You go somewhere and get crappy customer service, and instantly think that this would not have happend if Shimano ran this company.

........fun post. Good fishing!!

I'll stand by my EWG recommendations. But it's hard to argue with Rob on any points, NICE SENKO BASS!!!

Anyhow, I know I WANT to fish too much when:

I took my wife to SLO and Morro Bay on our honeymoon, just so I could spend a few hours shore fishing Margarita

I got the approval to name our second son (someday) Caston Rod

I got all stoked when my son Blake weighed more than 22lbs 4 oz. so I could feel what it would be like to hold a World Record Bass

I work all day in the tackle store, yet can't wait to get home so I can work on my own gear

I got more, but no time. Cool thread though.

You know you fish too much when ...

You spend a good portion of your work day checking these boards

Your "kick-boat" is parked in the garage rather than one of your vehicles.

You can get no sleep the night before going fishing and be fine. But will call in sick to work in the same situation.

My favorite on this thread:
Scent actually starts to smell good instead of bad(MMM Craw/Anise Smelly Jelly)

have tasted hot sauce and liked it

steering wheel smells like bang

gravel from fav. lake on living room carpet

...you watch fishing shows in languages you don't even speak.

...you have the Bass Pro Shops catalog memorized ("Rattle traps are on page 147...")

...you use the word 'Scuppernong' in a sentence (have to be old for this one, used to be a flavor of Mann's Jelly Worms..)

...you walk into a tackle shop (anywhere) and they know you by first name.

...you schedule your wedding anniversary around tournament schedules, instead of vice-versa.

...you seriously contemplate adding vegetation, structure, and forage fish to your backyard pool (in preparation for stocking with pure Florida strain largemouth, of course!)

...you have PB's for 52 different species.
...you know who George Perry is.
...you've ever looked at someones stringer of trout and wondered how fast one of them would be eaten by a bass if released.
...you fished on your honeymoon(all 4 days).
...you've fished through New Years Eve (more than twice).

Tight lines,
Wade

Assuming that Rob was only kidding about bumping, and in support of Wade's bumping I will add:

You know that you have been fishing too much when your wife stops complaining about it and instead asks you to go fishing even more often so she can spend more time with her lover.

Seriously, I go fishing too little (typically only in summer) but if one looks carefully one can see tiny specks of glitter from Smelly Jelly in every vehicle I have driven and in every room of every house in which I have lived.

Youre 37 and single, and you blow off a date to go fishing

When you first start dating somebody, your major concern is whether or not they can deal with your disease

For some strange reason you always get sick on Wendsday

You cant remember that you have a meeting at 830 am, but you can remember the names of the top 5 finishers in each BASS tournament in the last 10 years, and you know exactly how each of them fished each tournament

And my vote for the best one yet, "you look at the contours on a hillside and wonder where the bass would be" (on a different twist, I still drive down the street and see structures that would be totally cool to skate).

You buy a 38' boat to live on w/ room for your bass boat on the back and decide to go live on the delta? Guilty as charged!

You can cut 30lb line w/ your teeth faster than most guy's can cut them w/ their clippers. Your Still working on braid :)

You name rocks and other structure where you have cought fish

You stay up all night fishing when the lunar tabes are hot, knowing you have to be at work at 6:00am

Fishing 12 hours with no bites, knowing the "ONE" is out there with "YOUR" name writen all over it!

PS I am still seeing those skate spots too, when crusin in frisco I hate seeing peir 7 RIP

Hey let that Bass go I wanna catch her some day

..You have 83 plano boxes full of crankbaits which are all full

..You move your pants to the top of your closet were you can't reach them because you know you'll use the crankbaits more

..You have upgraded all the hooks on your crankbaits to gammy's owners VMC's or ofther premium hooks in fear of missing 1 fish

..You could name 100's of crankbaits and color codes but cant remeber all the states

..You have more than 500 bags of plastics yet know how many is in each bag

..You know no line should be left un-tested
