Woke up and the rain hadn't started yet. We launched out of Bridge Bay and headed for the Pitt arm. We got about two hours of fishing before the rain came down. It rained for the rest of our day. The fish were still chewing plastics. Lot of fun to just get bit! We didn't learn anything too profound, but still, we were on Shasta, and learning little things. Like the depth of the fish in different areas of the lake. I'll post the depths after the tournament.

We got off the water around 2pm and headed for home. I had to work the following day, and we boogied. I got some sleep in the car, however, I was still wrecked when I came into work.
In conclusion, I'm not too bummed about 129th place. Things could have been worse. Take Don Iovino for example, his motor wouldn't fire up on day one.missed weigh-in, day two he lost his lower unit near the McNary Dam, and day three he blanked. Ouch. James Niggemeyer did the best of our group, he blanked the final day, costing him a check. I was glad to be there and get some BASS experience. Each tournament is going to be a learning experience. I'm thankful to even have the opportunity to get time off and be there. I am really looking forward to Shasta coming up. I think I can get em on my darthead worm. I'm praying we don't have to fish in wind and rain! |
