October 4, 2000 - Day 5

Third and final day of practice.  The morning temps were in the mid 30s.  Very chilly!  My hands were killing me!  Cameron and I ran north towards Richland.  We stopped on a point outside a hotel lauch ramp.  Cameron shook up a keeper smallie on 4" worm pretty quick.  We fished down the bank with the current until we reached the Columbia Point Marina.  At the mouth of the north end, we saw some solid smallies sitting in the current.  We couldn't get a bite!  We fished in the marina, and then the south mouth of the marina.nothing!  We headed down to the Yakima delta to see what else we could learn there.  Nothing going.  I didn't get bit the entire day!  Cameron only had that one early worm fish.  We were struggling for sure!

We did the partner pairing that night at the Kennewick High School.  I heard some of the best introductions, explanations, and welcomes from Dewey Kendrick!  Very professional!  As are all partner pairings, this one was super-intense.  I drew Justin Campbell, 17, from nearby Pasco.
