October 8, 2000 - Day 9

Lake Shasta.  We didn't get on the water until about 10am.  An absolutely gorgeous day on Shasta.  We were diving in the lake to cool off.  The spots were chewin'!  Tons of fish on plastics.  Dart heads and brassnglass were the ticket.  We got some spinnerbait fish too.  In the evening, we got onto a nice topwater bite, and I got a 2.5lb spot on a Splash-It.  I was throwing it on a 7ft. rod and 20lb. P-line.  That heavy line is great for topwater!   I got a picture and it will be coming soon! 

We drove into Redding, got some dinner and found a place to stay.  That night a front moved in, and cold weather and rain were on the way.
